Antonia grew up in the Los Angeles area and developed a desire to use her artistic and creative talents to express her social and political concerns at an early age. Her passion for film editing evolved during the course of exploring vehicles for presenting these issues. Years of writing, performing and producing music led to another level of creativity: the art of combining the musical with the visual. Antonia’s northward voyage brought her from Los Angeles to San Francisco and Portland where she successfully pursued her musical ambitions and became part of a seminal movement within the feminist political rock music scene. Antonia then continued her journey to Bremen and Hamburg, Germany where, after completing the SAE Institute film and animation diploma, she started working at Optix Digital Pictures Hamburg. At Optix, she had the opportunity of working hands-on with state-of-the-art film and video technique; the ideal professional environment in which to become well-versed in the fundamentals of film post-production. The combination of having a solid technical background along with a passion for creativity gives her the necessary balance between technical know-how and artistic ability that is essential for every editor and colorist. Now residing in Berlin, Germany, Antonia works as an in house editor and junior colorist at OPTIX Berlin GmbH.
